I have the new 1.8*X model in Singapore and the built quality is definitely better than the 2003 model which I have driven for the past 2.5years.
The steering wheel is adjustable so you will not hit your legs when you get out of your car.

I just purchased a new Toyota Wish 2.0 E. What a pleasure to drive. I love it. It is so silent that you wonder if the engine is even running.
The use of space is fantastic and the electric seats are pretty comfortable.
The only thing I don't like is getting out of it, that and the steering wheel and comfortable driving positions conflict with the ease of getting out. The steering wheel hits your legs.
I have the model available in Taiwan.
